Floating helps to stimulate the body’s own natural power of healing and regeneration. Floating therapy is a renowned worldwide growing wellness treatment. This therapy has been utilized by people who are highly stressed, have chronic pain, adrenal fatigue and sleep disorders. Stress, which is the number one destroyer of your immune system, can be reduced through flotation therapy.  The resulting state of deep relaxation is a major boost for any physical issue. Just one hour of flotation therapy is equivalent to approximately 4 hours of restorative sleep, and has detoxification results similar to a three-day fast! Floating has been shown to offer relief for a wide range of ailments and conditions on top of being an incredibly unique and relaxing experience for both mind and body. Come float with us . . .

Flotation Pods

The flotation pod contains 1100 lbs. of Epsom-salt, saturated into 220 gallon of water, about 12 inches deep. This creates highly buoyant water that creates an experience similar to that of floating in the Dead Sea, you float effortlessly on the surface of the water feeling completely weightless!

Aesthetically the float tank is beautiful, an enclosed POD like a cocoon that blocks out all external distractions, tactile sensations and gravity itself.

The water is heated to skin temperature. It is almost impossible to tell where your body ends and the water begins. You will feel like you’re floating in space.

This weightlessness is created by the Epsom-salt saturated water, allowing every muscle in the body to reach a level of full relaxation.

Flotation Therapy Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I Need to Prepare for my Float?

NO. In fact, the less you do the better. There are a few guidelines that we recommend observing in order to maximize your float experience. You are not required to bring anything.
1. Eat a light meal 1.5 hours prior to floating.
2. Don't drink any caffeine up to 6 hours prior to floating.
3. If you wear contacts, be prepared to remove them.
4. Don't shave within 4 hours or wax within 24 hours prior to float.

2. Why use flotation tank regularly?

The more you use flotation tanks the better it gets! Each flotation tank session is unique, and two floats are rarely the same.

3. What effects does floating in a flotation tank have on the mind?

During a float, you produce slower brain-waves patterns, known as theta waves, which are normally only experienced during a deep meditation or just before falling asleep. This is usually accompanied by vivid imagery, very clear, creative thoughts, sudden insights and inspirations or feelings of profound peace and joy. Because of these effects, floating is used effectively in the treatment of depression and addictions.

4. Is floating successful for everyone?

Floating, as with other treatments, does not suit everybody. It requires willingness on your part to let go and see what happens, and you may need to float a few times before you are able to relax completely, both physically and mentally. Depending on your own journey through life, a float might provide an hour of total physical relaxation - or a profound healing experience, emotionally and spiritually transforming. Floating can be a wonderful aid to opening doors into your inner world, gradually allowing access to those deeper levels at which real changes take place.

5. Is there a typical tank user?

Not that we know of. People of all ages and walks of life seem to enjoy the experience equally. What seems typical is how glowing and peaceful everyone looks when they come out of the tank.

6. Is anyone not supposed to use the tank?

We do not recommend use tank for epileptics whose epilepsy is not under medical control, for anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or for those with infectious diseases or open skin wounds.

7. Can pregnant women use the tank?

Yes. We suggest pregnant women inform their physicians and midwives or get their opinion prior to using the tank. The reports received from pregnant women have been enthusiastic. As their bodies get heavier, floating is a great relief from the pull of gravity. Floating has given many women a welcome rest.

8. Can I use the tank if I'm menstruating?

Yes, if you use a tampon.

1. What effect does salt water have on my skin and hair?

The Epsom salt solution is beneficial to the skin and hair. People leave the tank with softer-feeling skin.

2. Can you wear a bathing cap?

Yes, you can wear one, but it likely will not keep your hair completely dry.

3. Do you wear anything in the tank?

Since it is a private experience, most people don't wear anything. Anything you wear will touch against your body, becoming a distraction.

4. Do people sleep in the tank?

Yes, some people fall asleep in the tank, and some people use the tank for sleeping.

5. Is there a right way to do it?

All the ways are right. Each person will find whatever position is most comfortable for them. Some people float with their hands at their sides, some with hands folded across their chest or abdomen, or behind their heads. You may float with the door open or closed, eyes open or closed. Float the way it is comfortable for you and explore what is best for you.

6. Will I float?

Yes. It is impossible not to float in the tank. Eight hundred pounds of salt dissolved in the water makes the solution so dense that your body is pushed to the surface like a cork. Your face is out of the water and your ears are underwater.

7. Could you get electrocuted?

8. What if I'm claustrophobic?

People who say they are afraid to use the tank because they are claustrophobic probably assume they will be confined in an enclosed space. You can use the tank with the door open if you wish, and are in complete control of the situation. You can get in and out whenever you want. In our experience, most people who are afraid of being claustrophobic find they are okay once they are in the tank.

9. Is it safe to sleep in the tank?

It is safe to fall asleep in the tank. Even those who say they never sleep on their backs in bed are often able to in the tank. It is very difficult to roll over in the tank because of the density of the solution, and if any of the salt solution gets in your eyes, mouth or nose, you would wake up immediately.

10. Is there enough air in the tank?

Yes. The tank is not airtight, but there is also fresh air brought in by an air circulation system.

11. Can two people float in the tank at the same time?

We do not recommend it. Floating in the tank is intended to be a private, individual experience.

12. How is the water cleaned between sessions?

We have a filtration system that runs after each session. There is more than 800 pounds of medical grade Epsom salt dissolved in the tank - a concentration so high no living microorganism can survive. In addition, a ultra-violet light sterilization system is used. UV is the safest, most effective system available and uses the same technology as water purification systems used for drinking water. To maintain cleanliness, a shower is mandatory before floating.
